Burrinja Cultural Centre

Set in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges, Burrinja is a vibrant community cultural centre that encompasses multiple gallery spaces, a 400 seat theatre, live music, arts activities and events, artist studios, gardens, a gallery shop, workshops and a café.

Winner of the 2010 and 2013 Best Small Museum Award, Burrinja galleries present a changing program of exhibitions throughout the year. From solo and groups shows of local Dandenong Ranges artists to touring exhibitions the galleries feature a wide range of artworks in some of Melbourne's most beautiful and unusual gallery spaces. Selected works from Yarra Ranges Council's McLeod Gift Collection are on display as well as the iconic "Fish and Leaves" by Yorta Yorta artist and former Upwey resident Lin Onus.

For lovers of theatre, Burrinja has a state-of-the-art theatre which hosts a variety of performances with a focus on theatre, comedy, dance and family friendly shows. The vibrant program features something for every performing arts attendee.
