Situated in the Sherbrooke Forest, Grants Picnic Ground is one of the top attractions of the Dandenong Ranges. If you love to walk and appreciate nature, there are walking tracks that start from the picnic ground which take you through the native plants and wildlife.
Grants Picnic Gorund is home to an abundance of native animals and birds, including the Superb Lyrebird, which attracts many visitors throughout the year. The tall trees, including the world's tallest flowering tree, the Mountain Ash, lush fern gullies, numerous walks and hikes for all ages/fitness levels, wonderful wildlife and the Grants of Sherbrooke Cafe are popular reasons to visit.
Grants Picnic Ground is a hub for nature lovers and has many features/facilities including BBQ facilities, restrooms, parking bay and accesible tables.
The park is also home to wallabies, echidnas, wombats and many more unique Australian creatures. Rare Orchids and ancient free ferns can also be found on the multiple walks (from a 20 minutes stroll through to 7km trails).
