The team at The Independent have created a menu inspired by the seasons, the best local ingredients and Argentinean heritage. Argentinian head chef- Mauro Callegari, grew up in Argentina and learned the secrets of cooking at his mum’s restaurant. Callegari developed a passion for food that’s influenced by Spain and Italy and combines Creole and North African flavours.
The Independent is a casual restaurant where you can savour contemporary Argentinean food in the beautiful setting of the Dandenongs and Yarra Valley.
