Ever wonder what it would be like to live in the 1880s? The YesterYear Tour highlights the comparisons between a modern home and the pioneer Homestead. See if you can guess what rooms are missing. How would you manage without mains water, hot water, electricity, phone, car and many other conveniences we take for granted. As the Tour progresses around the property you will walk through the beautiful gardens set in lawns with stunning trees including a magnificent 100 year old oak. The Tour also includes the 1920s St Marys Chapel, Historic Kitchen, Blacksmiths and Vintage Machinery shed.

The Pioneer Homestead 
The 1860s homestead is furnished with items from the homes of descendants of the pioneer Families. The slab hut kitchen contains many household items of the era, plus there are on-site blacksmiths, woodturning and vintage machinery displays.

Our Beautiful Gardens
The Mont De Lancey homestead is set in lawns graced by beautiful trees including a magnificent spreading oak. Whether it be the rich rustic colours of autumn or come spring it's blossom time, the white and pink of the flowering cherries and the purple of the lilacs make a stunning setting.

The Museum
Take a step back in time to appreciate the family, working and social life of the pioneer families displayed in a comprehensive collection of photographs and artefacts.

The Gift Shop
The Gift Shop carries a fantastic array of quality products which will appeal to all ages. The shop also carries a large range of hand knitted articles as well as homemade pickles and jams.

The Gallery
The Gallery has occasional exhibitions ranging from Contemporary to Modern including works by artists from the Yarra Valley.

Bus tours, weddings, school groups and the general public are all catered for.

Mont De Lancey provides easy accessibility in all areas and priority parking if required
