The 2020 program will be announced on 1 May 2020. This year the program will feature an Accessible Garden Tour option.
The Accessible Gardens Tour will start on Wednesday 21 October from Karwarra Native Nursery in Kalorama with a guided tour commencing at 9:30am. People will need to be able to walk with a walking stick or walking frame and most of the gardens are wheelchair accessible. Accessible toilets are available at Karwarra Native Garden and Warratina Lavender Farm. Tickets are $100 each, which includes a Devonshire Tea at the last garden (participants can buy lunch at Warratina Lavendar Farm). There are no steps except for the last garden which has an alternative access. All the gardens have parking available (limit 12 cars).
The Secret Garden Tours from Thursday 22 to Saturday 24 October. One garden each day which is a Secret Garden and including iconic gardens such as Philip Johnson and Joost Bakker. A visitor drop off services will be offered in Sassafras on Thursday 22 October and Olinda on 23 October for garden lovers to enjoy exploring a village and lunch in a venue of their choosing. The Saturday lunch is included in the ticket price. Plant sales will also be available at 2-3 venues.
Each day begins with refreshments at Karwarra Australian Plant Garden before departing by bus for the day’s tour, then returning once more to Karwarra for a glass of wine and hors-d'oeuvres.
