Wander through the brilliant display of five acres of tulips. There is fun for all ages, including live entertainment, children’s activities, delicious local and international food and market stalls daily, all set to the stunning backdrop of a rainbow of 900,000 tulips in flower.
The 2019 Festival kicked off with the Turkish weekend (14 – 15 September), celebrating the origin of the tulip with exciting Turkish performers, music, folk dancing, belly dancers, cultural and artistic displays as well as a selection of delicious Turkish foods.
Then there was a celebration of flowers during Spring Fever Week (16 – 19 September and 7-10 October). This is generally a quieter time outside of the School Holidays to enjoy the blooms.
It was then time to put on your clogs and fill your plate with poffertjes for our Dutch Weekend (20-22 September). This celebration had clog dancing, traditional Dutch displays and mouth watering foods.
School Holidays fun continued with Childrens Weeks (Mon 23 - Thu 26 September and Mon 30 September - 3 October) - treating the kids to a day of adventure among the brilliant colour of tulips. Super Heros, PJ Masks, Splash Test Dummies, Magic Shows and more.
Visitors ate, drank and were merry at the Food, Wine and Jazz weekend (27 – 29 September). This chilled weekend amongst the tulips had great bands and delicious international foods teamed with award winning local beers and wines.
Then it was time to Rock the Fields (4 - 6 October) with rock'n'roll and rockabilly bands all weekend. Plus food trucks and plenty for the kids.
Come for the craic and enjoy all day entertainment during Irish weekend (11 – 13 October). There were Irish pipers and dancers, Celtic arts, Irish coffee and beers and a few lovable Leprechauns!
