Enjoy an adventure in a wonderland of spring flowers at the 2019 Tesselaar Tulip Festival held in Melbourne’s magical Dandenong Ranges from 14 September – 13 October 2019.
Visitors will be grinning like Cheshire cats whilst they wander through the brilliant display of five acres of tulips. There is fun for all ages, including live entertainment, children’s activities, delicious local and international food and market stalls daily, all set to the stunning backdrop of a rainbow of 900,000 tulips in flower.
The Festival kicks off with the Turkish weekend (14 – 15 September), celebrating the origin of the tulip with exciting Turkish performers, music, folk dancing, belly dancers, cultural and artistic displays as well as a selection of delicious Turkish foods.
Then take a trip into Wonderland with Alice and the White Rabbit for story performances of the classic tale Alice in Wonderland, during Wonderland week (17 – 20 September).
Eat, drink and be merry at the Food, Wine and Jazz weekend (27 – 29 September). This chilled weekend amongst the tulips has great bands and delicious international foods teamed with award winning local beers and wines.
Childrens Weeks (Mon 23 - Thu 26 September and Mon 30 September - 3 October) - treat the kids to a day of adventure among the brilliant colour of tulips. Entry Free. Super Hero, Peter Rabbit, active week and more.
Come for the craic and enjoy all day entertainment during Irish weekend (11 – 13 October). There will be Irish pipers and dancers, Celtic arts, Irish coffee and beers and a few lovable Leprechauns!
Celebrate the tulips in all their glory during Tulipmania week (7 – 11 October). Enjoy a last opportunity to walk through the tulips before we bid them farewell for another year. There will be plenty of entertainment, delicious food and activities to ensure they go out with a bang!
