Dandenong Ranges Shuttle Bus - get to the Rone EMPIRE exhibition

A Dandenong Ranges shuttle bus service to the Rone EMPIRE Exhibition will be offered on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for the duration of the exhibiton for prepaid ticket holders only between 7 March – 22 April 2019.

There are many ways to make your way to Empire by Rone. Public transport is a great option and you can catch the Belgrave train from Melbourne and then take advantage of our regular private Dandeong Ranges shuttle service that loops between Belgrave station, Burnham Beeches (Rone) and Sassafras. Leave the car at home, or at your accommodation, and take the easy way.

A little stroll in a magical garden  – the highly instagrammable Alfred Nicholas Gardens are superb at this time of year – is highly recomended and you'll want to make time to enjoy a coffee and meal at The Piggery Café and explore the many other attractions in the villages close at hand.  Sassafras is the home to many shops and cafes that are a must-do while in the area including Daisy Boot BooksGeppetto's WorkshopProserpina Bakehouse , Miss Marple's Tea RoomsTea Leaves, and Ripe Cafe. In Belgrave, satisfy your craving for Southern Indian street food at the delicious destination that is Babaji's Kitchen.

The Dandenong Ranges shuttle will provide a regular service (see below for times) and you may catch a return shuttle when convenient. We cannot, however, guarantee a seat on the last shuttle of the day so please take advantage of earlier services.

Cost: $5 for return shuttle to RONE Exhibition

  • A wristband will be issued on payment which must be worn for trips both ways.
  • Payment is due at time of boarding shuttle. Only Tap’N’Go payments (Square - debit card/credit card) will be accepted.
